County Executive Jim Smith

The Baltimore County Department of Aging always does an outstanding job finding new and creative ways to meet the needs of today’s seniors, whether it is through fitness studios at our senior centers or the CountyRide program, which helps them get around their neighborhoods safely and affordably. But our Department of Aging recently gave our seniors the treatment they deserve as they rolled out the red carpet at for the 22nd Annual Senior Expo/ Baby Boomer Expo on October 7 and 8, 2009.

The Senior Expo/ Baby Boomer Expo has been successful for more than two decades, not just because of the services that it provides to our senior community, but because of the many important ways that it contributes to Baltimore County. This year, once again, the funds raised through this event will be donated to the Fund for Needy Seniors.

More than $100,000 was raised by exhibitors, sponsors, donors and those in attendance. The Department of Aging and all of Baltimore County appreciate your support in working to protect some of our most vulnerable citizens.

I encourage you to use this website to find out more information about becoming a volunteer or to donate directly to the Fund for Needy Seniors.

Thank you for your interest and support for the Department of Aging’s Senior Expo/ Baby Boomer Expo.

Sincerely,
