Each year, Baby Boomer/Senior Expo features many special themed areas to delight and inform attendees on an array of topics.  Baltimore County Department of Aging is currently in its planning phase of development for 2012.  Please continue to check this web site for details as they develop.  The following are some of the events and programs that will be a part of "Expo 2012."

Flu and Pneumonia Vaccines

Flu shots and pneumonia vaccines were provided by the Baltimore County Department of Aging and Maxim Health Services at the Senior Expo and Baby Boomer Expo on October 5 from 9 a.m. until 6 p.m. and October 6 from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. in the Cow Palace of the Timonium Fairgrounds.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) recommend a flu shot if you are over 50 or have:

  • high blood pressure
  • an irregular heartbeat
  • a history of stroke or heart attack
  • a chronic respiratory disorder
  • diabetes
  • a compromised immune system
  • anemia

The shots and vaccines will be provided at no cost for Medicare B beneficiaries and Bravo Health members.

Flu shots and pneumonia vaccines will be available at the Baltimore County senior centers before and after Expo. Be sure to mark your calendars.
